Our Story

A Question No Mom Ever Wants to Hear

Hello. My name is Tiffany White. I, along with my son Dylan, founded The Dylan & Mommy Company to restore something sacred: identity, joy, and legacy.

This all started after a painful moment. Dylan came home from school one day and quietly said:

“I don’t like the color of my skin. I wish it were whiter.”

That moment shattered me. But it also sparked a mission...I knew words alone wouldn’t be enough. I had to show him the truth of who he is. So I started researching Black leaders, inventors, and artists; And what I found was severely insufficient. Our stories weren’t being told the way they deserved, especially not to children. 

So Dylan and I turned our healing journey into something creative.

We began writing books together. Poems. Projects. Anything that celebrated our culture and showed Black children they are powerful, worthy, and whole—just as they are.

The Dylan & Mommy Company isn’t just about books. It’s about belonging. It’s about planting seeds of confidence in every child (or adult) who’s ever felt invisible.

We believe that when children see themselves reflected with dignity, creativity, and honor, they grow up walking through the world with power, purpose and belonging.
