WE. ARE. LEGACY. We Are Dylan & Mommy.
Hello. My name is Tiffany White. I, along with my son Dylan founded WE. ARE. LEGACY. Our stories celebrate Black excellence and inspire kids to see themselves as heroes...One book at a time.
We are a creative storytelling company dedicated to uplifting families through meaningful, imaginative content. Born from a deeply personal moment with my six-year-old son, after a painful experience with bullying at school. One day, Dylan looked at me and said he didn’t like the color of his skin—that it needed to be whiter. That moment shattered me—but also woke something up in me. I knew words alone wouldn’t be enough. I had to show him the truth of who he is.
So, I began researching black people who had made meaningful impacts in the world - most against all odds - and what I found was unsettling. So, I made it into a happy project and Dylan and I began creating books, poems, and projects together that celebrate Black heroes, honor our culture, and make identity something to be proud of.
What started as a personal healing journey became our mission. Today, The Dylan & Mommy Co. creates children's books, poetic Bible stories, and storytelling tools that help families rediscover pride, purpose, and power—starting right at home.
Our goal is to inspire children, honor Black legacy, and bring Bible stories to life in a fresh, artistic way. We believe storytelling can restore identity, build confidence, and plant seeds of purpose. What began with one idea has grown into a full creative movement—complete with a growing book series, animated concepts, and inventive tools for learning and self-expression
The Dylan & Mommy Company is more than a business—it’s a healing space disguised as a story. Our commitment to telling the kinds of stories that restore pride, purpose, and possibility—especially for children who haven’t always seen themselves reflected in traditional books or Bible narratives is what keeps us standing.
We’re a mother-son team creating content from the heart, right at our kitchen table, and our work reflects the soul of our lived experience. We’re not just writing books—we’re inviting families to see themselves as heroes, to honor where they come from, and to believe in who they’re becoming. Our projects blend cultural pride, spiritual connection, and creative innovation in a way that’s rarely seen in children’s publishing. From poetic retellings of scripture to contests that highlight real Black elders, every piece of our work is designed to spark belonging, identity, and joy.
